Carving a volute is an important part of making a neck, it plays a part in it’s strength and stability. It’s also an oppertunity to give the guitar some character, it shows of the makers abilities.
We like to put a lot of our time into making these features look great, it’s the difference between good and fantastic. Our Diamond Volute is carved from a solid piece of Mahogany on our CNC router and then carved by hand to find the pefect tollerance and shape. I think you’ll agree it’s a thing of beauty.
