Introducing the Atkin Eighty-Five, a sophisticated shredding machine from the year 2021. The Eight-Five is our loving tribute to all that is cool about the loudest, boldest period in rock history.
The Eighty-Five features a lightweight two piece poplar body, and a slim C-to-D profile neck with a rounded-off neck heel area, giving excellent access to all twenty-four frets. This comes with your choice of a rosewood fingerboard with mother-of-pearl fret details, or a maple board with dots and position markers, each with a comfortable sixteen inch radius.
The Eighty-Five is lavished with high end electronic equipment, giving you all the power you could ever want, without the extra noise you don’t. Featuring a Switchcraft mono jack socket, CTS Push-Pull 500k potentiometer with coil split, and graphite noise shielding throughout, the Eighty-Five is capable of going from pensive angel to weeping demon with the push of a knob.
The Eighty-Five comes equipped with Gotoh hardware as standard. The 43mm locking nut gives a comfortable string spacing whilst remaining an un-daunting with for shredders and strummers alike. Coupled with the Gotoh GE1996T locking tremolo unit, your tuning stability is guaranteed to stand up to whatever you care to throw at it.
